I’m not going to say anything about the results until after the dust settles and people have a chance to consider all the ramifications.  So here’s a lighter side observation:

How does somebody get their name on the ballot as Joseph “Joe” J. Balboni, Jr.?  I know Joe and I don’t have a problem with it, I’m just asking, how do you get a nickname into your official ballot name and who determines if it’s a valid representation?

Specifically, could I run for Selectman with a ballot entry like Bob “low taxes” Lemaire?  Who’s to say that’s not my handle?  I could have a couple of shills come into the Town Clerks office while I’m filing the papers and say “How’s it goin’ there low taxes?”.

These are the kinds of stupid things that pollute my mind.
