I was waiting to see how the Grunter would react to the results of article 19.  Last year, the defeat of Article 12 was reported as “failed by only 20 votes”.  Using the same algorithm, this year’s headline should have been:

Article 19 passes by just 83 votes

The week after the election last year, the Editor was telling us that the problem was parking.  The parking problem was solved, and support went from 58% for $4 million to 56% for $200,000.  Now he already has a new private trust plan that should do the trick.

If we’ve learned nothing else, it’s that spinning these election results makes great politics but unproductive policies.  Let’s hope the BOS takes out a clean sheet of paper.
