From the minutes of the Oct 17, 2012 Board of Selectmen’s meeting:
It was moved by Chuck Storm for the Wolfeboro Board of Selectmen to support the proposal for renovations to Brewster Memorial Hall as presented at this meeting. Dave Bowers seconded. Members voted, Dave Senecal-opposed, being all others in favor, the motion passed.
From this week’s Grunter editorial:
In the meantime, regardless of what “placeholders”
the Capital improvement Plan may put in for Brewster
Hall renovation over the next 10 years, selectmen have
indicated no intention of proposing one any time soon.
TIME FOR SOME NEW MANAGEMENT IN TOWN. SELECTMEN EITHER DO YOUR JOB OR QUIT. TAXES UP AGAIN. ANOTHER TENNIS COURT THIS YEAR? WHAT IS THE TOWN MANAGERS JOB DESCRIPTION/SALARY? TAXES UP 39% SINCE 2009. SOMETHINGS WRONG. BREWSTER HALL GIVE IT UP, FAILED SEWER IMPROVEMENT, WHAT DON’T WE KNOW ABOUT?
We wil only see a change if we get a a change in selectmen with at least two new people. However, that will not happen unless two electable people are willing to run. I have not seen anyone who is electable step up to the plate.
Sounds like we need some pressure put on at the meetings. Possibly a search comitee. Advertise Town Managers position.include$ in budget. Just idea’s. There are certainly more qualified people than natives. The Brewster brats have to go. 39% increase since 2009 IS OBAMA IN CHARGE
There is only one seat up this year – Chuck Storm.
Meetings are on Wednesdays at the library. I will try to post on this sight as well as attend. It is ultimately up to the citizens to show up and COMPLAIN. Otherwise we have the same problems Washington has, just different names. US citizens voted tax and spend back. Is Wolfeboro or its current leadership really any different? I hope so.
The next meeting is actually tomorrow, Nov 26, at the Library.
At
6:30 I will be their god willing.
